About Us

A society registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 whose purpose is to offer basic health and education for the poor, has launched Wadhwani Initiative for Sustainable Healthcare (“WISH”) as its principal India-focused project/initiative to further its charitable objects in India vide a Board Resolution dated 02.10.2013 with the objective to provide/facilitate access to sources of capital, incubation and advisory services for innovative, high impact, BoP focused technologies and business models that impact health and the healthcare sector. The Sunil and Nita Wadhwani Foundation (USA) is the Founding Donor to LEHS for implementing WISH in India. WISH is working to build an equitable, innovation-led healthcare system that puts quality healthcare within easy reach of the poor. The Vision of WISH is, by 2020 facilitate a demand led ecosystem for healthcare innovations, reach 10 million poor Indians, with quality healthcare services and scale up 20 high impact healthcare innovations.
